Playgroup fun at the Arboretum
Today, our playgroup went to the Arboretum. We had the best of intentions to take part in as many of the Mommy and Me activities that we could (i.e. Strollerfit, Kindermusic), however, we spent most of our time chasing the kiddos, chatting, chasing the kiddos, feeding them and did I mention, chasing the kiddos? What a perfect day it was, and of course, the flowers were beautiful. Here are a few fun pics. And of course the notorious group shot, which is getting more and more difficult to get.
Where's Camryn you might ask? Well, she's in the pink hat.
Here's a closer pic with her friends, Raylee and Mia who were done with taking pics. :)

Camryn's first tooth!-3/21
So, you've heard the fun side effects we've experienced due to this new friend, but you haven't seen the pic. So here you go. Her new pearly white.
(Don't pay attention to her crusty nose. Poor thing had a cold and her nose was so sore and dry from me wiping it all the time.) :(
Okay, okay. I know it's hard to see, but it's the tooth on the left. :)

Yumilicious!-Camryn's first taste of ICE CREAM!
We took Camryn to our new favorite ice cream/frozen yogurt shop, called Yumilicious. I love their Avacado flavor. Sounds weird, I know, but it's oh so yummy! And of course, we had to give Camryn her fast taste of the good stuff. :) She enjoyed it, however she didn't quite know what to think of how COLD it was. :)
Grandpa & Nana joined in on the fun.

How could something so GROSS come out of something so SWEET?? - 3/17
What am I talking about you ask? Well, the dreaded diarrhea of course. Now, if you have a weak stomach, or don't care to hear about bowel movements, well then, you'd better skip this post because I'm going to get detailed. I want to be sure and document EVERYTHING about Camryn, the good, the bad and the ugly. And this is definitely the UGLY. :)
It all started last Wednesday after giving her blueberries for the first time. At first I thought it was a food allergy, but even after we stopped the blueberries, it just kept coming, and getting worse, I might add. Camryn's appetite started to slow down and eventually, all we could get her to eat was rice cereal. I called our nurse on Friday and she said she probably just had a mild stomach bug, although she had no fever or vomiting, thankfully. She said that it should clear up over the weekend. Well, it certainly didn't clear up, it got even worse. She was going 6 - 8 times a day, and it was the stinkiest thing Josh and I had ever smelt. And because it was so watery, it made quite the mess every time she went, leaking out of the diaper and ruining her clothes. We tried (3) different types of diapers and NOTHING could contain this mess. It really didn't faze our sweet little girl much at all. She seemed a little fussy on Saturday and Sunday, but those days were the worst. Josh was sweet and took over Diarrhea Duty on Sunday night so that I could attend our Community Group meeting. Boy was he happy when I got home. It really took two of us to change her and clean her up after each episode without getting it EVERYWHERE. At this point, we were starting to wonder if it was something more severe than just a mild stomach bug and we were certainly not wanting her to get dehydrated. So, on Monday, I called our doctor's office to find out that our doctor was out on Spring Break. So, I called one of his partners and they definitely wanted to see her. So, after getting a strep test (yuck!) and getting completely checked over by both the nurse and the doctor, we were given her diagnosis . . . TEETHING! Seriously, teething? I was so surprised and relieved at the same time. Camryn has been teething for the past few months. Her bottom two teeth, creep up and cause her gums to swell and then go right back down. But this time, her bottom right tooth finally broke through. Yea! So, the doctor said that the diarrhea should clear up really soon and to be prepared that it might continue to happen for each tooth. Yea, lucky us. :) Sure enough, that very next day, she only went (2) times and things were starting to clear up. So, our little girl now has her first tooth and will hopefully not get anymore. :)
Pic to come of her new pearly white. As soon as I can get a decent one. :)

Camryn's First Easter Egg Hunt - 3/18
Our Playgroup participated in our Church's Easter Egg Hunt a few weeks ago. Of course the kiddos were all a little young, to actually hunt, but they did enjoy playing with the eggs and Camryn especially enjoyed the candy (still enclosed in the wrapper, of course.)

Enjoying her candy. :)

CG Girl's Weekend - 3/6-3/7
After Josh went camping with the guys in our Community Group last Fall, us girls, decided that we needed a weekend away for ourselves. So, on Saturday afternoon, we left our husbands and little ones (with lots of instructions, of course) :) , and headed to Fort Worth to check into our hotel, The Omni.
Checking into our hotel
We quickly dropped our stuff off and headed out for a little shopping. We went to a few of the cutest baby boutiques and had fun "ooooing" and "ahhhing" over all of the fun things. Then, we headed back for Happy Hour in our room while we got ready for our night out on the town. We ate dinner at the sweetest little restaurant called Piola. Yummy Italian food in a quaint, comfortable atmosphere. Then, we headed for some entertainment at 4-Day Weekend. Josh and I LOVE this place. We've been here several times and always leave with our sides and cheeks hurting. They did not disappoint, as usual, and we all had a great time.
At 4-Day Weekend-Kim, Tara & Baby Bennett due in April, Myself and Kate
After the show, we headed back to our room for some chatting and for a FULL nights rest. We all enjoyed sleeping in and casually getting up and getting ready to head out. We checked out of our room and went to brunch at Esperanza's Bakery & Cafe. Delicious Migas, great conversation and a great end to our trip.
I love you girls and am so thankful for your friendship, accountability and encouragement. Can't wait for our next trip. :)
