Thoughtful, Personalized Gifts for Camryn

Just wanted to share a few amazing gifts that sweet family and friends have made for Camryn.

The first, my wonderful mom, made this beautiful quilt. This was her first quilt to ever make and it looks AMAZING. I don't know exactly how many hours she put into it, but I know that just about every time I've talked to her over the past few months, I've heard a sewing machine running in the background. It is SO special that she made this for Camryn and is something that will not only be useful now, but a treasured gift that she'll keep forever. I love the X's and O's, symbolizing their kisses and hugs for their granddaughter. And Dad even helped. They both sat together and prayed for Camryn as they tied the knots. So special. :) She also made several burp rags for Camryn with the left over material. I love them!







The second is this precious trunk that my best friend Erin painted and personalized. It is so cute and goes perfectly in her room. She of course filled it with lots of goodies, including a cute pink/green dress, an HSU onesie and a fun picture frame. :) It means so much that she found the time to make such a personal and special gift for Camryn, all while getting ready for her own bundle of joy, Joseph.





Last weekend we went shopping and picked up the remaining things that we still needed, so I think we've got everything we need and then some. :) Now, if we could only get the mountains of laundry done and her room organized, we'd be ready. Hopefully we still have a few more weeks. :)

New Belly Pic-32 weeks + 6 days!

Okay, so here I am at 32 weeks + 6 days! Only 7 weeks to go. Yea!

It's amazing how much your stomach can stretch. Seriously. I keep saying I don't think it can stretch anymore, but it sure does. I just keep growing and growing. At my appointment yesterday, Camryn was still breach, so we're hoping she'll turn in the next few weeks or we will be scheduling a C-section. :( She's been hanging out right underneath my ribs. Lucky me. :) Josh and I attended our hospital tour this week and received lots of helpful info. He was the most excited about getting to be the one to give her her first bath and I was most excited about the towel warmers in the bathroom. :) We can't wait to meet our little girl.

This past Friday my sweet boss, Karen, threw a baby shower for me at work. I've worked at M/C/C for over 5 years now and have really been blessed with an amazing boss and group of co-workers. They make work FUN and I am very thankful for their friendships. So at the shower, we enjoyed a delicious cake made by the very talented, Kathy, and Camryn was showered with lots of fun gifts. I am so thankful for such sweet friends and I can not wait to introduce each of you to baby Camryn.

Projects for Camryn's Nursery

Okay, so I've been dying to share pics of the nursery, but it's still a work in progress. So how about a sneak peak of some of the projects I've been working on?

The week before my shower my mom, Aunt, cousin Jake and dad even came to help work on some beautiful hanging bouquets for Camryn's nursery. I saw the idea on Pottery Barn's website, but I was not willing to pay $50.00 per ball, ridiculous. So I called in the help of my fabulous Mom. She found all of the supplies at Michaels (styrofoam balls, stick pins, silk flowers and ribbon) and we got to work. I absolutely LOVE them and they have quickly become my favorite part of the nursery.




I have also been working on letters for Camryn's room. Last weekend Mom and I headed to Hobby Lobby and found the cutest letters and scrapbook paper. After tracing, cutting and mod podging the letters, I think they're done. Yea! I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. And I didn't even have to pick up a paint brush. :)

Cousins

Here's a recent pic of Josh's sisters and I. Bethany is 29 weeks along, Hannah is 5 days past due and I am at 31 weeks. Just kidding, as if you couldn't tell. Hannah is sporting a mini soccer ball, while Bethany and I are carrying our precious little girls, Avery and Camryn. They already have a few matching outfits and we are getting so excited for them to meet one another.

Fun Weekend with Fabulous Friends!

So, this past weekend, Jeremy, Melodie and Holden came down to visit us and spend our bi-annual weekend together. It was so fun having them stay with us in our new house. They were our first overnight guests and I'm guessing they enjoyed the bed and separate bathroom this time. During their previous visits, we have always been in an apartment without a bed for them to sleep on. I tell Josh that they are TRUE friends to sleep on an air mattress in the middle of our living room. :)

We had a wonderful weekend with our sweet friends, as usual. We hung out at the house on Friday night. We played with Holden and of course had to get in several games of marbles. I don't know what happened, but Melodie and I are down by several games now. I think it's all of our talking and not paying attention. That or maybe the boys are cheating. :) On Saturday morning Josh and Jeremy headed to play golf, while Melodie and I went to a baby shower and then did a little shopping on our way home. That evening we went out to dinner at Fish City Grill with Ryan and Adrianne. And then, we had to finish up the night with a few more games of marbles. :)

Here's a few fun pics from our weekend get together. Holden was the sweetest and he certainly stole the show. Josh really enjoyed playing with him. I know he's going to be a wonderful dad to Camryn. I can't wait to see them together.

Jeremy and Melodie, we love y'all and we are so thankful for your friendship. We can't wait to come and visit in the Fall with Camryn. :)

House-Before & After Pics

Okay, finally! Here are our before and after pics. We (mainly Josh since I've been having to stay off of my feet) have been working hard these past few months to get unpacked and settled. With lots of help from our wonderful family and friends we are just about there. We still have quite a few things to buy and hang (it's tough to fill up a 3 bedroom house coming from a 1 bedroom apartment) and of course the yard needs lots of work in the Spring, but I'm sure we'll get there and have fun doing it.

Here's a quick rundown of the improvements. :)

-New paint for the whole house
-New carpet for the (3) bedrooms
-New hard wood floors for the living and dining rooms
-New light fixtures for the kitchen and bathrooms
-Cleaning up the yard and power washing the sidewalk
-And of course, new furniture
