Little Miss Camryn has had quite the Halloween experience this year. We went to 1 neighborhood Halloween party, 1 Playgroup event, 2 Pumpkin patches and of course trick-or-treating. What a fun time we've had dressing up our little pumpkin. :) Enjoy the pics.

Roll Baby Roll!
Yep! She did it! Camryn rolled over. She has been rolling from her tummy to her back since here, but she has now mastered the roll from her back to her tummy. Yesterday we found her on her tummy after we had placed her on her back and left the room for a minute, but TODAY I saw it for myself. I've had to make more room for her on the floor so she can do her log rolls. :) We haven't got it on video yet, but when we do, we'll be sure to share.

Sweet Sounds!
Although these videos are several months old, they're too cute not to share. Here are some of Camryn's first "words" and giggles. Aren't they some of the sweetest sounds you've ever heard? :)

Bye-Bye Swaddle :(
So, this is what I found the other day when I went to get Camryn up from her nap. Both arms un-swaddled and even one leg. Goofy girl! I think she's just about ready to say bye-bye to the swaddle. Don't you? I'm not sure Josh and I are quite ready, but we are bracing ourselves for a few sleepless nights. We're going to start with one arm out and go from there. We thought we would try cold-turkey, but that definitely did not work with the teething and growth spurt she's currently in. That was one tough night. Poor girl!
We'll keep you posted.

4 Month Letter & Pic
Sugar Muffin-
You're 4 months old! Wow! You have definitely "filled out", as the nurse at your pediatrician's office so politely commented. :) You are now 12 lbs. 10 oz. and 24-3/4 inches long. You have moved up to the 50th percentile for weight and 75th for length. You are close to rolling over from your back to your tummy (you've been rolling over from your tummy to your back for awhile now) and you've been working on sitting up. You are now laughing and giggling at us and it is the sweetest sound. We can't help but laugh back at you and then that gets you going even more. You enjoy spending limited amounts of time in your exersaucer and have FINALLY started to be more content in your car seat and even during car rides. Yea! You love your Baby Bjorn and quickly fall asleep when we go for walks in it. You are grabbing toys, rattles, blankets, really anything and putting them in your mouth. Your favorite toy is your baby (thanks Aunt KiKi). You love to hug your baby tight and give her lots of kisses (let's me honest, it's more like you're eating her). :) You like to stand (assisted of course) and your favorite book that your daddy is currently reading you is "Oh, The Places You'll Go". A few nicknames that we've added to the list are "Chunk of Love" and "Chunk-a-monk-a". Sorry, "Chunk" has really stuck. :) You amaze us everyday and it is SO fun to see you discovering new things and making new noises. We love you so much!
Love you to the moon and back.

Square One & Church Playgroup
Our church offers a wonderful bible study for new mom's called, Square One. It's a seven week class that allows women to connect with other women beginning the journey of motherhood, while discussing helpful topics such as:
-Mothering: Babies, parenting, pediatric care, books
-Mama: Taking care of yourself, postpartum depression
-Marriage: Husbands, dates, dads
-Making a home: Cooking, cleaning, time-management
-M-I-L's - Family Matters
-Memories: Travel, traditions, holidays
Camryn and I went through the class when she was just 1 month old. We loved all of the helpful advice, support from the mentor mom's and especially the friends that we made.
So after the class ended, there were a handful of us mom's that were interested in forming a playgroup. Let me just say that this playgroup has been a huge answer to prayer and I have SO enjoyed getting to know these women and loving on their little ones.
So, what do we do at a playgroup with infants? Well, let's be honest. The babies don't do much "playing", but us mommies sure do lots of "talking". We share stories of the most amazing things our little ones are doing (such as finding their toes, rolling over and sitting up :), we ask each other for advice, pray for one another and just enjoy getting out of the house and having "adult" conversations. We laugh uncontrollably when all of our little ones start screaming and throwing fits at the same time. :) We rotate houses and have a few outings from time to time. We have a trip planned to the Arboretum to take pics at the Pumpkin Patch, so be on the lookout for what's sure to be some adorable pics.
These women are amazing and I am so thankful that the Lord has brought us all together. I look forward to our little ones growing up together and making many fun memories in the process.

Yes, Camryn was asleep through the WHOLE thing. But we did go a second time and she loved it. :)
