Oh those bows!

So, as I'm sure you've seen, I've had a headband/bow on Camryn since she's been born. Partly because I hate when people ask me how old "he" is, but mainly because I LOVE BOWS! Well, at the beginning Camryn hated me putting them on her head, but she eventually got used to it. I told her, "That is the price you pay for beauty", something my mom used to tell me when I was complaining about her pulling my hair as she fixed it for me each morning. :) But now that Camryn is grabbing things, anything really, she doesn't leave them alone. Almost daily now, they end up in her eyes or her mouth.

Just had to share this cute pic.

Oh sweet Camryn.

Camryn and her daddy!

Just wanted to share some sweet pics of Camryn and her daddy. I just love seeing them together-laughing, playing, sleeping. It melts my heart every time.

I love you Hon and I LOVE how you love our little girl. :)

Sweet Pic

The two of them playing of the floor.

About a month ago, Josh took care of Camryn for the first time, by himself, so I could go to dinner and a movie with a friend. Of course, he did GREAT. I only received a few texts and they were only updates, no questions at all. I was very impressed. He is really great with her. They played together, he fed her, gave her a bath and tucked her in bed. She was fast asleep when I got home.

Here are a few pics of Camryn from that evening. Looks like one happy girl to me. :)

She is definitely her daddy's little girl. Already watching sports. Josh was pretty proud of this. She was rolling over, just to watch baseball. Too funny!

Love these moments. I don't think I could ever take too many pics of them napping together. Love it!

This is one of the first things I bought Camryn. She certainly is "Daddy's Cutie".

Plano Balloon Festival!

Yesterday, we went to the Plano Balloon Festival with Josh's parents and sister. (This was my first year to go, but Josh's family went when he was younger.)

It was such a nice day out and I jumped at the opportunity to get outside, since I've spent most of my Summer indoors with sweet Camryn. So, I grabbed our Baby Bjorn and out we went. I don't think I've mentioned it yet, but Camryn LOVES the Bjorn. It was a hand-me-down from my Aunt and I am SO thankful. We use it for walks, the grocery store and even in the house sometimes. Camryn is NOT a fan of her carseat, so anytime I can use the Bjorn, it is easier on all of us. :)

So, at the Festival, we walked around, watched the balloons take-off, ate yummy fair food (Funnel Cakes are the BEST) and just enjoyed our time together. We will definitely go again. Lots of fun!

Sweet smile. See, I told you she LOVES her Bjorn. :)

Happy Grandparent's Day!

Check out the card Camryn made for her Mimi and Poppa, and Nana and Grandpa.

We love y'all and are so thankful for such amazing grandparents for our little girl.

Front of Card

Since it's a little hard to read. Here is what it says.

Few can bring the warmth,
We can find in their embrace.
And little more is needed to bring love,
Than the smile on their face.
They’ve a supply of precious stories,
Yet they’ve time to wipe a tear.
Or give us reasons to make us laugh,
They grow more precious through the years.

I believe that God sent us Grandparents,
As our legacy from above.
To share the moments of our life,
As extra measures of His love.

Inside of Card

So on this special day . . .

This is my hand.
My hand will do
A 1000 loving things with you
And you will remember
When I am tall . . .
That once my hand
Was just this small.

Happy Grandparent's Day!

Labor Day Weekend Fun?

Yes, there's a question mark at the end of my post title. Reason being, we spent part of our Labor Day weekend in the ER. Yep! Josh had a knee boarding accident at the lake and required stitches. We went to lake with our friends Cyndi and JJ, and were having a great time grilling out, taking a ride in their boat, water skiing and knee boarding, until someone got hurt. :) Josh was doing great on the knee board, when all of a sudden, he bit it for some reason and after he hit the water, the knee board flew back and hit him in the face. Ouchhhhhhh! He wasn't knocked out thankfully, but there sure was A LOT of blood coming from his nose and mouth. The lifeguard in me reacted quickly and jumped in the water to rescue my sweet husband. :) He was worried that all of his teeth were knocked out, but again, thankfully, they were all in place. He had several gashes in his mouth, on his lip and one on the outside of his cheek. After evaluating the situation, we quickly returned to shore and headed to the ER. Thankfully, again, Mimi and Poppa were already watching Camryn, so we didn't have to worry about her. Once we got to the ER, we were in and out in about an hour. Crazy, I know, it must have been a slow day, or poor Josh, must have looked really pathetic. So, two stitches in his upper lip and two in his cheek and we were sent on our way. So, the rest of the weekend, Camryn and I took care of Josh. It killed him to chew, smile or laugh, so he ate lots of soup, didn't look at Camryn and watched lots of action movies. :) He is beginning to feel better, slowly but surely, and can't wait to smile at his little girl again. :)

Camryn's first dip in the pool :)

Camryn took her first dip in the pool this past weekend at Josh's parents house. We knew Camryn loved her bath so we were hoping that she would love the pool just as much. And we were right! She floated on her back and tummy and even splashed around a bit (all assisted of course). Then, I got the brilliant idea to head to the deep end with her to let her check it out. Now, I was a lifeguard and was required to be able to hold a 10lbs. brick above my head while treading water for 5 minutes. Well, let's just say I'm definitely not in as good a shape as I was back in my lifeguarding years. After about 30 seconds, I was hollering for help. :) Of course, daddy came to our rescue, just as my head was going down. We got the whole thing on video tape and our family thinks I should send it into America's Funniest Home Videos. I'm not so sure and no, I'm not sharing it with y'all. :)

Check out the cute pics below of our little fishy.

Of course we had to take pics of Camryn and her cousin Avery in their cute bathing suits. Bathing Beauties if you ask me. :)

Mimi and Nana giving her a bath, in the kitchen sink, of course. :)

Exhausted after swimming. Sweet Baby.
