Camryn-
Just wanted you to know that this past year has been so special for your mom and I. This year has gone by so fast, and you have grown so much. I have really enjoyed seeing you develop, from your first smile to your fun, curious nature and how you have to explore everything. We look forward every morning to see what you will do next and to see your beautiful smile. I love you and thank God for you. Your mom and I love you very much and we are looking forward to another year of seeing what you are going to do next.
Love,
Dad
My Sweet Camryn Hope-
Happy 1st Birthday! I can't believe how quickly this year has passed. It truly feels like just yesterday that I was holding you in my arms for the first time. Even today, my eyes fill up with tears when I look back on that moment. :) I have loved getting to stay home with you this past year. You fill my days with such laughter, joy and sweetness. I love watching you learn and discover new things each day. I love how you thrive off of others and are quick to offer almost anyone a sweet smile. I love how you clap for yourself and how you appropriately use the words "Hi!" (with lots of inflection I might add) and "Uh-Oh!". I love that you've learned to give kisses and I will never tire of receiving as many as you'll offer. I love that no one can make you laugh like your Dadda and no one can comfort you like me. In some ways, I'm sad that you're growing up, but in others, I can't wait to see what's coming next. I love you SO much Sweet Chunk and am so thankful to the Lord for him entrusting you to us.
Love,
Momma

Senorita Margarita Party!
My sweet husband decided to throw me a party for my upcoming 30th, I mean 25th, :) birthday! With Camryn's birthday just 4 days after mine (including a big family & friends party), Josh thought a Girl's Night Out was just what I needed. And boy was he right.! He chose the restaurant (La Hacienda-YUM!), made the reservation, sent out the Evite and made sure that we had margaritas waiting for us at the table. Perfect! :) I had such a wonderful time celebrating with my friends. Thanks so much Hon for making me feel so extra special! Love you! And thanks friends for taking the time to celebrate with me. I cherish each of you! You definitely made this birthday a memorable one.

Our trip to FLORIDA!
So, when we found out that my sister, Danette, was throwing a huge party for her hubby, George, for graduating from Pharmacy School, we couldn't wait to start planning our trip to Florida. We had traveled with Camryn over Thanksgiving last year, but with Camryn being 5 months older and now mobile, we knew it would be different. Silly us, we booked the flight down for late Thursday evening (they were cheaper, of course). Thankfully however, Mimi and Poppa were on the same flight so Camryn had lots of laps to play on. :) She did GREAT and quickly fell asleep as soon as we got her to bed.
While we were there, we (us, my parents, Derek & Anne, & George's family) stayed in this amazing house. A 4-bedroom/3-bath house with a PRIVATE pool! It was perfect. And oh so nice for having a little one along. We were able to use the kitchen to prepare C's meals, all of the baby stuff the owners had on stock at the house (highchair, pack-n-play, toys, etc). It really made traveling a breeze. Here's a few pics of the rental house.
Pool & Hot Tub!
Covered Patio
When we arrived on Thursday night, Dani had a dessert smorgasbord set up. So delicious! We stayed up too late, which you will see is a trend, and enjoyed catching up with everyone.
The next morning, we hung out at the house and played.
Here's Uncle George playing with Camryn. She wasn't too sure of him at first, but after he introduced himself to her through glass, she loved him. Josh says this is how ALL guys will need to meet our daughter. :)
Then we headed to check out Dani & George's condo. Of course while we were there, we had to introduce Camryn to Zach (Dani's baby/dog). Camryn LOVES dogs and Zach was no exception. :)
After a little shopping at a store called Bali (where I found some cute jewelry), we headed to grab something for lunch. Seafood of course, what else do you eat when you're in Florida!?
Later that night was George's hooding ceremony. So, we all got dressed up and went to support him. What an accomplishment! Congrats Dr. George MacGregor Jr.!
We headed to dinner afterwards and then back to the house for another late night. :)
The next morning, we again played at the house, while everyone was getting ready for the graduation ceremony.
Here's Uncle Derek blowing raspberries with C. Too cute!
Then, while everyone else was at the graduation ceremony, we hung out at the house and played with these, courtesy of Dani. Such fun stuff! It kept us busy for hours.
Camryn wrote the sweetest note on the sidewalk for her Uncle George. "Happy Graduation Uncle George - Love, Camryn". She even laid down and traced a picture of herself. :)
Then, we took a quick dip in the pool before nap time. :)
When everyone returned from the graduation, we grilled out and played in the pool until late at night, once again. :)
The next morning was Mother's Day. See my Mother's Day post here. It deserved a post all by itself.
However, here are a few other fun beach pics. We went to Delray Beach, just a little south of where we were staying. This was a beautiful beach with lots of fun shops and yummy restaurants near by.
At first Camryn was a little unsure of the water and sand, but after 30 minutes or so, she was LOVING it! She was splashing in the water and eating the sand. :)
After going to bed late, once again :), we woke up the next morning and played with Aunt Danette. Here Camryn is wearing her "My Aunt Loves Me" onsie that Dani got her. So cute!
We hung out at the pool, celebrated Dani's b-day and then headed to Howley's for some grub. They seriously have the best Mojitos and Sweet Potato Fries, EVER! So yummy and one of my favorite spots in West Palm. :)
Then, off to the airport for everyone except for US! We headed out for some shopping at City Place and yummy ice cream at Sloan's.
We had the amazing rental house, all to ourselves, and loved every minute of it. The first day on our own, we woke up early and headed to the beach. This time we opted for something a little more low key. So, we headed just down the road from the rental house to Phipps Ocean Park Beach. This was perfect! We were the only people on the beach as far as we could see. Seriously! We just let Camryn explore and she LOVED it! Her knees were red and skinned up to prove it. :)
Then, of course we came back for some more pool time. You should see her fingers and toes after all of this swimming. Prunes I tell you, Prunes! :)
Then, the last day :(, more swimming and a yummy dinner at Tiki Bar with Uncle George and Aunt Dani.
Unfortunately, Camryn came down with a fever the last night that we were there, so the flight home wasn't as fun as the flight out there, but at least she didn't get sick during our trip. :)
Dani and George, thank you so much for hosting such a FUN weekend! Y'all went above and beyond. We had such a fun time! Congrats again Dr. MacGregor, Jr. We are SO proud of you!

Thirty, Flirty and Thriving Girl's Trip! - 4/23-4/25
Well, with the big 3-0 looming, my GNO group of girlfriends from college decided we should all face it together. So, we planned a fun-filled girl's weekend away. We wanted to get out of Dallas, but didn't want to drive all day, so Austin seemed like the perfect place. So, after lots of searching we found this AMAZING resort on Lake Travis. We rented a 2-bedroom/2-bath condo and it was PERFECT! The living room was nice and spacious, the patio was great for enjoying our meals, and the amenities were AMAZING. Two pools overlooking the lake and a wonderful spa. What more could a girl ask for? :)
Shannon & Erin enjoying their DQ on the way down. :)
Shannon, Erin, Kristin & I stretching our legs at an Estate Sale on the drive down, per Erin's request. :)
Kristin's GPS. Can you believe it actually got us lost?! :)
Deer on the resort property.
The resort-The Island on Lake Travis.
Finally, the (5) of us (Kristin, Sherri, Shannon (in front), Erin & I) join up. In hail, none the less. Crazy Texas weather. :)
Our B-Day glass & delicious cupcake cake, made by Erin.
Of course we had to blow out our candles. :)
And how could we not play the most amazing board game of all time. MALL MADNESS! I LOVED this game growing up and played it WAY too many times to count. Thanks for bringing this blast from the past Kristin. And guess who won? Yep, yours truly. I'm telling you, I can SHOP! :)
After getting to sleep in until 9:30am (AMAZING!) and a delicious breakfast on the patio, we headed to the spa for pedi's.
And then a little relaxing by the pool.
After laying out we got cleaned up and headed to dinner at The Oasis. Such a fun restaurant and definitely worth the drive and wait.
Check out this view from the top of the restaurant.
Fun group pics.
Erin and I at dinner.
And a beautiful sunset.
Our last pic of the weekend. Can you tell we were sad we were leaving? :(
I had such a wonderful time with these girls. They are truly amazing women and I am so blessed to call them my friends.
Thanks girls for a very memorable weekend. Love y'all. Can't wait for our next trip. :)
