2 Month Letter & Pic

Precious Baby Girl-

2 months! Wow! This past month has been a lot of fun. You met LOTS more family and friends, who gave you lots of kisses and hugs. You are now 9 lbs. 11oz. and 22 inches long. You are in the 25th percentile for weight and 50th for length. You are sleeping GREAT throughout the night (last night you slept 11 hours) and you are beginning to get the hang of naps as well. You LOVE your swing and smile at yourself in the mirror on the mobile above every time we lay you in it. You also really enjoy laying on your playmat and watching the star play music and light up every time you hit it, or you start crying and we come over and hit it for you. :) The biggest highlight of this past month for your daddy and I was seeing you smile for the first time. It truly melted our hearts. Now your daddy and I are constantly competing, to see who can get the biggest and most smiles out of you. So far, I think it's a tie. :) We have had several play dates and have really enjoying spending 1 day a week with your Aunt Bethany, cousin Avery and Nana. Those are special times. We have started to hear a few squeals from time to time and can't wait for the giggles and baby talk to begin. You make us smile and you fill our hearts with such love and joy. We are so very grateful to the Lord for you and can't imagine our lives without you.

Love you to the moon and back.

Sweet Smiles!

Yep! Miss Camryn is smiling and we're loving it. It melts my heart every time she flashes that big mouth grin my way.

Keep em coming sweetheart.

These were captured on July 20th at 7 weeks + 1 day old. Guess what she was smiling at? Her momma of course. :)

And these were while her Nana and Aunt Hannah were babysitting her so Josh and I could go out on a date. Thanks so much for watching our little pumpkin for us and especially for capturing these great pics. Love y'all.

Camryn's Nursery

This post is LONG overdue, but since several of you had asked, here are pics of Camryn's nursery. We had such a fun time putting it together for our sweet little girl. Many of you helped so thanks for the wonderful gifts that helped to make it a special room for her. Hopefully, she'll enjoy playing in it one day. :)

The hanging flower bouquets that my Mom and Aunt helped me make.

This precious plaque that my friend Kristy gave us. It reads "I love you to the moon and back" along with her name and birth date.

This fun plate that fits Camryn perfectly. It says "Queen of the Crib" if you can't read it. Thanks Adrianne!

Newborn Pics

We had this wonderful photographer come to the house when Camryn was just 2 weeks old to take some pictures. She was so patient with us while we attempted to get Camryn asleep so we could take those precious sleeping pictures. :)

We just received the pics in the mail and are SO excited to share them with you.

The photographer didn't put them together in a slideshow, so I took a stab at it with some new software we had on our computer. Hope you enjoy!

Slept Through the Night! Whoo Hoo!

Yep! You read it right. Camryn slept through the night last night for the first time at only 6 weeks + 2 days old. We moved her to her crib last Friday night and have been working on getting her on a schedule over the last few days. Well, it is either working or someone is playing a cruel trick on us. Giving us a taste of the good life, to only snatch it away. Please No!

So anyways, on to the details of our exciting news.

We fed her at 9pm, put her down at 9:30am and she slept until 6:30am. 9 hours! It was so exciting! I of course, didn't get much sleep. I kept waking up every hour wondering if she was okay or not, but at least Josh and Camryn got some sleep. :) When Josh woke up to go to work, he asked if he should wake her up because he was concerned that maybe she was sick. Are you kidding me, I said. Absolutely not! This is what we had been hoping and praying for. Then, he got me worrying, so when she did eventually wake up, we took her temperature, just to be sure. It was of course normal. :)

Hopefully this is just the start to some great sleeping habits (thanks Babywise and all of you Babywise advocates out there).

Camryn's Many Expressions

When Camryn was around 2 weeks old we discovered just how expressive she was. She began making the cutest/funniest faces. Here are just a few.

Candid Camryn

Okay, so we're behind on posting updated pics of Camryn so here's a quick download of the last month. They are in chronological order so you can see how much she's already grown.

Sleeping on daddy. So sweet.

First bath. Not a fan. :(

During a tornado warning. She wasn't even phased as you can see.

Sweet outfit from Mimi.

In the baby bjorn. So helpful to have two hands.

Mommy and Camryn.

Storytime with daddy.

Just some fun pics.

Still not a fan. :)

4th of July

Well, this 4th of July was EXTRA special because it's when Camryn met her Aunt Danette and Uncle George. They flew in from Florida for a long weekend and we loved every minute of it. They helped to feed Camryn, change her diapers (sorry for the explosion Dani), rock her to sleep and of course love on her. We took Camryn shopping and out to dinner for the first time as well as a trip to Bahama Buck's for a snow cone. Yum! It was SO much fun to have them here and meant so much that they came to see us. Derek and his fiance' Anne came down from Oklahoma to spend the weekend with us as well. It was great to have the whole family together. Love y'all.

Camryn got to meet Sampson (one of my parents standard poodle's) for the first time. Such a sweet dog. :) He will be a great companion when Camryn gets a little older.
