LIVE Nativity!

We took Camryn to her first LIVE Nativity this past week. Nana and Grandpa (Josh's parents) joined us and we had a wonderful time. It was pretty chilly outside, so we stopped to grab some hot chocolate (Yum!) before heading to this quaint, country church in Allen. It was so neat. They had carolers singing by a campfire, then gave us candles and then directed us to the barn. There were hay bales set-up for us to sit on, but Camryn made a bee-line straight for the animals. They had a few sheep and a horsey, as Camryn likes to call it (aka-a donkey). :) She loved petting the sheep of course and would say "Awwwe!", over and over again. Eventually, the sheep got tired of Camryn's affection and made it known that he/she was done. The sheep snapped at Camryn and she backed away quickly. After that, she was ready to sit on the hay bales. :)

Then, the story of Jesus' birth was performed. Along with a little narration and beautiful Christmas music. It was perfect! Short and sweet.

I just loved being able to clearly show Camryn what Christmas is all about. I hope at least a little of it sank in. :)



Sorry for the poor quality pic, but had to show you the sheep (the one on the left) that didn't care for Camryn. No, it wasn't snowing. It was just really dusty. :)
